The primary support for the operation of SMCA schools comes from the tuition payments paid by parents whose children attend the schools. SMCA's School Board works to keep the tuition costs to a minimum, since it's a non-profit ministry. With that in mind, careful planning has gone into tuition payment plans.
TUITION PAYMENTS: The school collects tuition, which can be paid in full at the beginning of the school year – annual tuition payment (if the total tuition and fees are paid in advance by the due date in August, the family will receive a 5% tuition discount); semester payment at the beginning of I and II semesters (50% of tuition paid before the due date in August and 50% paid by the due date in February, the family will receive a 2% discount); or paid quarterly or by 12 equal monthly payments by withdrawals from parents’ bank account (August through July). If Annual/Semester payment is not received by the due date, the discount amount will be removed.
Registration, book and activity fees are due at the time of registration or by mid-August. The registration fee is non-refundable.
TUITION DISCOUNTS (one per family): Discounts and payment options may not exceed 25% in total assistance. Other annual fees will be applied without discounts.
Payment Option Discount: Annual Payment - 5%, Semester Payment - 2%, Quarterly & MONTHLY - 0% (12 payments on the 14th of each month, Aug-July). Auto Pay ONLY. *In order to secure the Annual discount, the amount should be paid within 15 days of the agreement confirmation; Semester payments should be paid by August 14th & February 14th; Quarterly payments should be paid by August 14th, November 14th, February 14th, and April 14th. If the payment is not received by the due date, the discount will be removed.
Multi-Family Discount: 1st - the oldest child 0%, 2nd to the oldest child 10%, 3rd to the oldest child 20%, 4th to the oldest child and following children 100%(free).
Ministry Discount: Full-time pastoral discount is available up to 25%. Other key church positions may have the annual family service hours waived.
Tuition Assistance: The main criteria for tuition assistance is based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines and the Tuition Assistance application verification. The application window is from April 1 to May 31. The application fee is $25 per family and is non-refundable.
Scholarship: Students in grades 7-12 may receive $250 per semester (minimum GPA of 3.7 or above in the preceding semester), for a total of $500/year. The GPA and exemplarily behavior verification is required every semester. The application fee is $25 and is non-refundable.
ENROLLMENT PROCESS: Upon submitting the registration application to the SMCA office, two weeks are required for processing. When the enrollment confirmation is issued, the family has two weeks for review/verification/cancellation. Within two weeks of receiving the enrollment confirmation, the enrollment is confirmed and valid as issued, and the annual payment is due.
