Our Story

Founded in 2006, Spring Mountain Christian Academy began as a vision brought to life by dedicated local moms who were passionate about private Christian education. These women, pursued higher education, earned their degrees, and devoted their expertise to building and developing the school into what it is today.

Our school is home to a diverse community, with a significant number of Slavic immigrant families. While many of our students are born and raised in the United States, their cultural roots trace back to Eastern Europe through their parents and grandparents. We embrace this heritage by incorporating cultural studies, traditional cuisine, and Eastern European language electives into our curriculum, fostering an appreciation for our students' backgrounds. Our school welcomes and enrolls students from all backgrounds, races, and abilities, fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment. We take great pride in creating a community where every student is valued, respected, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Since the school’s inception, we have been fortunate to have teachers who have remained with us from the very beginning. Many have entrusted their children’s education to Spring Mountain Christian Academy, witnessing them grow, graduate, and succeed. Our mission is deeply ingrained in our values, and we take pride in employing passionate and committed educators who share our vision.

At Spring Mountain Christian Academy, we prioritize a family-like atmosphere where every student is known, valued, and supported. We are intentional in our approach, listening attentively to our students' needs and responding with care and dedication. Our close-knit community fosters an environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

At Spring Mountain Christian Academy, we take pride in being a truly local school, welcoming students and families from our surrounding neighborhoods. We believe in building deep connections—not just within our classrooms, but throughout our entire community. Our students grow up alongside friends who live nearby, shop at the same stores, visit the same libraries, train at the same gyms, etc. Many of our parents are local business owners, from dentists and fitness coaches to hairstylists, from florists to bakery owners, teachers, farmers, entrepreneurs. Our school is a hub where families, educators, and community members come together to support one another and watch our kids grow up.

With familiar faces everywhere, our students feel a sense of belonging and security. They greet neighbors in the hallways, interact comfortably with local law enforcement who are regulars in our building, and develop lifelong connections. We connect students with professionals from all fields to inspire and guide our kids. Guest speakers share their experiences, answer questions, and offer mentorship and job shadowing opportunities that provide hands-on career insights. By bridging education with real-world experience, we help students explore their passions and prepare for the future (Click here to see the list of professionals we introduced our kids to).  [GH1]

At our core, we are dedicated to raising children who not only thrive in their community but who also grow into advocates and servant-hearted leaders, giving back to the place that has shaped them. Together, we are cultivating a lasting legacy of compassion, empathy, meaningful relationships, resilience, support, and service—impacting lives one student at a time.

At Spring Mountain Christian Academy, we are committed to keeping our tuition rates as low as possible, ensuring that quality education remains accessible to families from all backgrounds. As the most affordable private school in our area, we work tirelessly to keep our doors open to a diverse community of students.

We deeply value economic diversity and the richness it brings to our school. Our students not only learn from their teachers but also from one another—gaining insight from classmates whose families come from a variety of professions, trades, and vocations. This exchange of experiences and perspectives creates a dynamic learning environment where children grow in understanding, appreciation, and real-world knowledge.

At SMCA, we believe that education should be both excellent and inclusive. By keeping costs low and opportunities high, we continue to build a school where every child, regardless of background, can thrive and contribute to a vibrant, supportive community.
